It is essential to understand how the problem came about and how it can be avoided in the future. Laura will develop a treatment plan and advise on any exercises or stretches needed.
Also functioning in a complimentary role with other therapies, massage treatments can greatly speed up recovery because of its wide ranging benefits.

Holistic Relaxation Massage
 
The term "Holistic" derives from the Ancient Greek word "holos," which means "whole." Holistic massage treats the ‘Whole Person’ - Your Body, Mind and Soul in Unison. Holistic massage is an ancient method of healing that clears the lymphatic drainage system and releases toxins from the body, as well as relieving mental and emotional stresses and tensions.
Holistic massage can be seen as a means of inducing relaxation and healing, whilst invigorating the bodily systems to heal and improve their functioning.
There is no set routine with Holistic Massage, just careful attention to what the individual requires. Laura looks at the causes of your tension and works to help restore your natural inner balance.
 
Pregnancy Massage
 
Pregnancy massage helps the body and mind relax, soothing tense and tight muscles and helps support the body as it changes throughout each trimester.
Remedying many of the common discomforts experienced during pregnancy; back pain, headaches, leg cramps, shortness of breath, swelling, neck pain...the soothing treatment helps to relieve any feelings of depression or anxiety, promoting a general feeling of well-being and helping the mother to feel at ease and sleep more deeply.
Laura will work with you to find the most comfortable position for you during the treatment. Usually side lying or semi-reclined. Working with supports and cushions you will be kept comfortable and warm so that you can fully relax and get the full benefits of your massage.
